Today's Deep Thought

So the other day it was cold.... being the non morning person that I am I didn't have time to scrape off my car thoroughly because I had spent ever spare minute sleeping.  Driving down the road I decided not getting all the ice crystals off was a potentially bad idea with the roads as hazardous as they were.

I started thinking about how I want everything done yesterday.  I've also been thinking a lot lately about spiritual development.  I think in my relationship with God I want everything done yesterday too.  So I couldn't help comparing my car's defrost system to the way that God slowly works on thawing our hearts and helping us understand who He is and His will for our lives.  I don't think I could probably handle it all at once so that is probably good.  I think I need to learn patience.  Perhaps also how to get up a little bit earlier on snowy days :-)
